Terms of use
These terms describe what this site is, what it does not do, and what we are responsible for.
The section is deliberately written in plain words. An agreement nobody can read regulates nothing — it merely creates the appearance that someone has been warned.
What this site is
An independent platform for legal analysis and support on international alerts, extradition and the protection of rights. Knowledge-base publications are informational. Using the site does not create a lawyer-client relationship: that arises only after a separate agreement to work together.
We are not INTERPOL
INTERPOL PROTECTION is not INTERPOL, is not part of its structure, does not represent it and does not act on its behalf. We have no access to INTERPOL's databases: we can neither look into them nor delete anything directly. All interaction with the organisation's systems happens through official procedures — above all through the Commission for the Control of INTERPOL's Files.
No guaranteed outcome
No material on this site and no statement of ours is a guarantee of an outcome. Decisions are taken by independent bodies and by the courts of other states. Anyone promising you a specific result by a specific date either does not understand the procedure or is misleading you.
Responsibility for decisions
Decisions taken on the basis of site materials, without analysis of your specific situation, remain yours. This is not an attempt to shed responsibility but a consequence of the subject: a general text physically cannot account for your initiating country, the stage of the case and your documents.
Materials and copying
The texts, structure and design of this site are ours. Quoting with attribution is welcome. Wholesale copying, republishing under another name and using the materials to build a similar service without permission are not permitted. Separately: we object to our texts being reprinted by sites selling «database checks» and similar services.
Links to external resources
We link to primary sources: INTERPOL, the ECHR, official state publications. We are not responsible for the content of external resources or for changes to it. If a link has stopped working or leads somewhere else, tell us and we will fix it.
Languages and versions
The site exists in Russian and English. Where versions diverge, the Russian text governs the meaning: it is written first. We try to avoid divergence but acknowledge that translating legal wording can produce it.
Availability
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the site or that published materials will remain unchanged: texts are updated and outdated ones are withdrawn. If a material you cited has disappeared, write to us and we will say what replaced it.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated along with the site. The current version is always published on this page. We do not notify changes separately, nor do we change terms retroactively in respect of work already begun.
