Tajikistan is a party to the CIS Minsk and Chisinau legal-assistance conventions. That means a procedure simplified compared with classic extradition: shorter timelines and a restrained approach to refusal grounds.
Wanted records are directly integrated with Russian ones, so detention is possible through the CIS interstate system — including where no INTERPOL Red Notice was ever published.
The country does not surrender its own nationals. That limit does not extend to Russian or third-country citizens, and visa-free entry creates a false sense that the destination is accessible.
